Industrial design that also runs the machines
Super Design Lab is the fabrication arm of Super Design Studio, a Brooklyn practice whose collectible furniture has shown at ICFF Launchpad and Design Week Mexico.
The founder holds a BFA and an MFA in industrial design. That training is applied to every client job, from a single prototype to full product development.

What file formats do you accept?
For 3D printing: STL, OBJ and 3MF are quoted instantly online; STEP and IGES are quoted by hand. For laser cutting: SVG, DXF, AI, PDF, PNG. For CAD work, sketches, PDFs or files in any major format.
What is your turnaround time?
Same-day rush on most services. Standard is 1 to 3 days for printing and laser cutting, 2 to 7 days for CAD modeling. Complex prototyping runs 1 to 3 weeks.
Do you offer rush services?
Yes. Same-day and next-day rush on most printing and laser jobs. Rush fees apply. Ask about availability.
Can you help if I have no design files?
Yes. We work from sketches, photos, descriptions or a conversation, handle the CAD, and get you to a prototype.
What materials do you work with?
FDM: PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, Nylon. SLA: standard, tough, flexible and castable resins. Laser: wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, paper, cardboard, cork, rubber and select plastics. CNC: aluminum, brass, copper, hardwoods, acrylic, carbon fiber, FR4.
What can you CNC machine?
Aluminum, brass, copper, hardwoods, acrylic and other plastics, carbon fiber and FR4, in parts up to 300 x 200 x 130 mm. Round parts can be machined on a 4th-axis rotary. Send a STEP, STL or DXF and you will have a quote within 24 hours. For steel or titanium we will point you to a shop that does it well.
Do you offer product photography?
Yes, on 102 megapixel medium format with studio flash and video lighting. White or styled backgrounds, macro detail, editing included, delivered in 2 to 3 business days. Sessions run Thursdays and Fridays, from $350.
Do you ship outside NYC?
Yes, anywhere in the US. Local Brooklyn pickup and NYC delivery are also available.
How is pricing structured?
Printing and laser cutting are priced on machine time and material. CAD and consulting are hourly or per project. Photography is per session. A written quote within 24 hours, free.
